In line with the world trend towards function and activity segregation, in mid-2003, Banco Itaú - after conducting thorough market research - also began offering Escrow Fund and Investment Portfolio Management Services.
This service (provided through a wholly-owned subsidiary of Banco Itaú S.A., Intrag DTVM) constitutes the outsourcing of investment fund management activities and allows the manager to concentrate solely and exclusively on investment management, analysis and allocation.
Intrag DTVM offers the escrow management services that are necessary to address Brascan’s needs. Such services include:
- Legal management of investment funds: supervision, monitoring, compliance and control of the adequacy of the investments to the limits established by the pertinent legislation and to the rules and guidelines set by the investment policy.
- Performance of all corporate activities necessary for the management of funds.
