The investment policy of the FUND is based primarily on the active management of resources, utilizing quantitative and systematic investment methods, with the objective of obtaining a return higher than the Interbank Certificates of Deposit over the long term, by raising the value of the quotas through the application of resources in assets available in the financial and capital markets, while adhering to the limitations foreseen in its bylaws, and other regulations in force.
The FUND will utilize a diversified portfolio of financial assets, allowed by the legislation in force, operating principally in the interest rate, foreign exchange, share, commodities, and Brazilian external debt securities markets in accordance with the prevailing legislation. These positions will be taken up in spot or derivative markets, such as future dollar, shares, or stock market indices; buy or sell options for dollars, shares or stock market indices; future DI index and other derivatives, including swaps from the interest rate, foreign exchange and share markets, among others. To persue this policy, the FUND carries out operations that are subject to the risk of the counterparts.
